Jim Henjum
Jim was appointed to the Board of Trustees in 2005 and was elected to the position in 2006. He is active in many community organizations such as the Chamber of Commerce and First Best Place Task Force as well as being involved in his church. He also enjoys helping with youth activities as a volunteer coach for T-Ball and soccer.
Jim and his family moved to Columbia Falls in 2001 from Spokane, Washington, to pursue a job and to be closer to his wife’s family. Jim is the father of three children, Analise, Daniel and Ethan. Analise and Daniel currently attend Ruder Elementary. His wife, Stephanie, grew up in Columbia Falls where her sisters and parents still reside. She dedicates her time to their children as a stay-at-home mother and is involved in as many school, community and church functions as time permits. The Henjum family enjoys all the recreational activities found in the Flathead Valley and enjoys being a part of this community.
Jim Graduated from Gonzaga University in 1998 with a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering. He started his career in Spokane, Washington as a structural engineer for a leading design firm before moving to Columbia Falls to fill a structural engineering position with a local firm. Since moving to the Valley, Jim has become a Licensed Professional Engineer in Montana and Idaho. He is also a principal and owner of APEC, Inc., a full service architecture and engineering firm which was established in 2006.
