Ruder Elementary School
Description and Location
Welcome to Ruder Elementary. We are located at 1500 12th Avenue W. Columbia Falls, MT. You can find us by turning south at the Catholic Church as you drive Highway 2. We are the newest of the Columbia Falls schools. The school was originally built in 1975, and we recently completed an addition. We have approximately 450 students in grades kindergarten through fifth grade.
Principal's Welcome
As principal of Ruder Elementary, I would like to welcome you to our school and our community. Ruder Elementary is committed to upholding its mission, “to inspire in our students the potential of academic knowledge, to instill in them their sense of self-worth, to recognize the diversity of all people, and to support the community with a safe haven in which the above can be accomplished.” Students at Ruder Elementary will be taught in a safe environment that is positive and meets the needs of the various levels of learners. This is made possible through programs that recognize and honor students for positive behavior and through instruction that is conducive to the learners’ skill levels. Open communication between the home and school is encouraged in an effort to work as a team in the educational endeavors of each and every student.

Parent Volunteers, Cribbage with Senior Citizens, soup labels and box tops, Community Halloween Party, Penny Brigade, and Family Night.
