MCCS for Math - K-12


The Montana Common Core Standards (MCCS) for math define what students should understand and be able to do in their study of mathematics.  The standards begin with eight Standards for Mathematical Practice.  These practices rest on important "processes and proficiencies" with long-standing importance in mathematics education.  

The documents linked below provide the content by grade level and additional resources for the MCCS for math.  They were created by the Montana OPI.  Extensive Common Core resources are available on the Montana OPI website.

The math standards at-a-glance document will provide a brief overview of the standards for math.  Appendix A is from the National Common Core Standards documents and provides content guidelines for the structure of high school math courses.
